APPOINTMENT OF WARDEN (HEAD OF COLLEGE)
Wollaston Theological College is responsible for theological education, formation, preparation and training of lay and ordained people in the Diocese of Perth.
The Warden is the senior officer of the College and is responsible to its Board and through the Board to the Archbishop for the academic, strategic and liturgical leadership of the College, as well as ensuring the good management of its administration, finances, admissions, pastoral care and discipline.
The Warden must be committed to the ‘Anglican way’; while embracing the catholic tradition of the College, they will have an understanding of and sympathy with the range of traditions within the Church.
Given the decision of the Diocese’s longstanding partner in theological education, Murdoch University, to discontinue offering theology subjects as of July 2021, the College is currently negotiating with other university providers of theological education. One of the earliest responsibilities the new Warden will be to provide the leadership and management skills needed to implement this significant change.
The College is also a key catalyst for enabling the new Diocesan Mission Plan: Mission 2020+.
