Vocations & Training Officer


We are seeking a priest of faith and wisdom, with strong interpersonal qualities, to join our team. The role has three areas of responsibility:


  • Assistant DDO (40%)
  • Share responsibility for the discernment of candidates for the ordained ministry and their preparation for BAP
  • Ministerial Experience Scheme Co-ordinator (30%)
  • Primary day to day responsibility for this new diocesan scheme
  • Training and Facilitation (30%)
  • There’s a real contribution to be made in this area.
  • We can offer, and are looking for, some flexibility as to how these skills might be deployed

Salary £25,467 p.a

plus provided house or housing allowance, plus non-contributory defined benefit pension scheme.


Subject to DBS enhanced plus disclosure.


The Vocations and Training Officer post has an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 for the successful applicant to be an ordained Anglican priest.
