This is a unique opportunity to combine ministry in a lively and active parish with the specialised role of ministry with the deaf community.
Bramhope is an attractive residential village in the north of Leeds; parish population 3,533 and growing; ER 167.
The church has grown a contemporary worship service attracting younger families and children alongside its traditional service, and is committed to seeing both flourishing and growing.
The PCC will welcome a priest who will lead the growth of the church by developing fresh approaches to every-member ministry, with clergy and lay together, in line with the emerging strategy of this young Diocese.
The person appointed will also work alongside another half-time minister to lead mission, worship and pastoral care among the deaf community across the Diocese. They will enable members of the deaf community to play a full part in the life of the Church, and to find appropriate new ways of being church and reaching out to others.
Minimum NVQ level 3 British Sign Language is essential, Level 4 or 6 desirable.
The Diocese of Leeds is committed to supporting confident clergy enabling confident Christians to live and tell the good news of Jesus Christ.
