Job Description

We are five parishes with six churches in the beautiful area of South Shropshire, an area of outstanding natural beauty, but this is no backwater. We seek a prayerful, energetic person to walk with us, leading our church community in setting and holding its vision for mission and growth.

We would like a person who:

  • Is positive about rural ministry, recognising that our churches serve the whole community, and work in partnership with our church schools, Clun Methodist Church and local organisations
  • Has experience of working with lay people, recognising and helping to develop their skills
  • Will nurture our churches, leading different styles of prayer and worship and build on our traditions
  • Can work in collaboration with the PCCs and churchwardens to build a better sense of ‘ Benefice’ through effective organisation, and good communication
  • Can help us to make sure our churches are financially secure.
  • Can seek advice and manage stressful situations effectively
  • Will take time to give attention to their own needs, allowing the personal, family and spiritual aspects of their own life to flourish alongside the demands of ministry

The deadline for applications is 21st May
