This is a unique opportunity to join a new team, serving one of the fastest growing and most diverse communities of Wales’s capital city. South Cardiff encompasses both the historic multi-cultural communities and the new residential developments which reflect Cardiff’s maritime past. Together they surround the growing national institutions, and the cultural and commercial centre, in Cardiff Bay. The Ministry Area brings together the Anglican churches across this area, to serve the needs of their traditional communities, and develop new opportunities for mission, as part of the overall dynamic vision of Llandaff Diocese, Where Faith Matters.
The next Vicar for Grangetown will be someone with energy and vision to grasp the challenges of ministry and the exciting opportunities for development in the South Cardiff Ministry Area. You will be a Eucharist-centred priest, with a willingness to try new things, comfortable working collaboratively with both clergy and lay colleagues. A confident and approachable leader, a good teacher, and a family-friendly priest able to give priority to ministry in schools and with children and young people, you will enthuse, encourage and lead the spiritual development of the congregations.
