St Elisabeth’s (ER 104) is a single-church parish in a populous, suburban area of Eastbourne, close to the Old Town, and comprising a number of schools and shops.
Since 2002, the congregation has worshipped in a remodelled church within the former church hall, which also comprises a suite of rooms that are widely used by a large number of community groups. The
parish’s vision is to practice radical hospitality in the way that Jesus demonstrates.
In 2020, the former church, which was situated next door and had
become dilapidated, was demolished, so the current appointment is an exciting opportunity to help take St Elisabeth’s into a new phase of its life.
The parish seeks a new incumbent in the open evangelical tradition, who will be comfortable with offering different forms of worship, have strong pastoral gifts, the ability to reach out effectively to the local
community, and a strong desire to encourage church growth.
