Saint Barnabas’ Dalston is a church plant in the heart of Hackney, established in 2010, with a particular mission to reach out to Dalston’s creative communities. It also has a thriving children and families’ ministry.
We are licensed under a Bishop’s Mission Order and have invested time, energy and money to equip ourselves and our wonderful buildings to serve and reach out to the local community. The church is culturally engaged, and excellence in the arts in their broadest sense is important to us. We are committed to the redemptive action of the gospel on every part of our lives. Currently 40-50 adults and 30 children, we have a small staff team focussing on music, children, and maximising the use of our buildings.
Theologically reformed and with a delight in community, we are looking for an experienced minister to be our new Vicar. We are looking for someone who has a deep love for Christ and His Word, who will challenge our thinking through both teaching and example, and have a vision to help us make Christ known. You will love the city, with all its joys and challenges; enjoy people; and be a self-starter, with the ability to work with others and manage our small staff team.
