Of St Francia of Assisi &St Mary of Nazareth Churches, West Wickham ( United Benefice)

Location:

London and Home Counties

Recruiter:

Ref: JN012912

St Francis of Assisi and St Mary of Nazareth Churches serve the community in and around West Wickham, a suburb in the London Borough of Bromley. We are a community and family-based benefice; two separate and distinct churches working together in a United Benefice to achieve God’s aims in West Wickham. We are seeking a priest who will be able to work with the parishes to care for those who are church members now and to develop and grow the mission of the two parishes in outreach, with particular emphasis on evangelism and discipleship.

We are looking to appoint a committed and compassionate priest who will:

  • Take a lead in mission outreach and be able to innovate, motivate and manage change

  • Nurture our congregations and encourage new members, further developing the churches as inclusive, welcoming places and supporting our ministry to children and young people

  • Share our commitment to growing our church families, supporting lay ministries and valuing the part that music plays in both churches

  • Work collaboratively with our church teams, with St John the Baptist, West Wickham, in our group ministry, ecumenically with Churches Together in West Wickham and innovatively with the wider community
