Vicar

Dallington & St James, Northampton

Contract:

Permanent

Location:

East Midlands

Ref: JN006554

Job Description

Northampton is a growing town in the centre of England with a brand new university campus opening this year and with easy access to London and Birmingham.

This Benefice, comprising the parishes of St Mary the Virgin, Dallington and Northampton St James, was created in 2017 and has a population of 13,000. Churchmanship is ‘central’. Northampton Saints RFC was founded by a curate of St James and Franklin’s Gardens is just a short walk from the church. Dallington parish is in the top 6% of the most deprived areas in the country. There are challenges and opportunities with the promise of plenty of support from the church family.

We are seeking to appoint a vicar who is:

  • able to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • keen to widen our links with the local communities
  • happy to enhance the opportunities for our children, young people and families
  • willing to encourage those who want to develop their spirituality, ministry and service
  • able to listen to and guide us as, together, we plan for the future
  • able to help us continue bringing our parishes closer together
  • reasonably proficient with computer skills and technology
  • someone who takes their days off and has a sense of humour

Could this be you?
