Ridley Hall is seeking to appoint a Tutor in Practical Theology, to deliver teaching on theological reflection and pastoral care primarily, to oversee the ordinand’s formation programme, and to contribute to the wider life of the College. This is a time-limited post to cover a secondment for two years, to take up post from September 2025. The integration of all aspects of training is key to the ethos of Ridley Hall, with a strong focus on the formation of the entire person for discipleship and ministry. We are looking for applicants with relevant practical and/or academic experience, to help prepare students for a changing church and world. The role holder will teach on the breadth of courses offered by the College, for students preparing for lay and ordained ministry alike. They will also oversee the ordinand formational programme, Emmaus, which offers a weekly set of lectures, workshops and quiet mornings exploring aspects of ministry and leadership in the Church of England.
