These are three new roles in a new diocesan team, supporting us as we journey together on our vision to become “a rejuvenating community of Jesus-centred, Kingdom-seeking disciples”.
LEAD FOR REVIVE MINISTERIAL DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING AND WELLBEING
The role holder will lead the REVIVE workstream of our diocesan strategy. It brings a call to deepening prayer and relationship with Christ for all our clergy and lay leadership, to experience a continued personal refreshing of the wonder of God’s presence in their lives. Key to this is the establishment of small peer-to-peer Benedictine-style support networks capable of developing plans of missional revitalisation. We are looking for an ordained or lay person with an inspiring faith in Jesus Christ, coupled with a compassionate desire to see the renewal of leaders in God’s Church, who can support and equip church leaders for mission and ministry with vibrant spiritual leadership
Closing date: December 1st 2024. Interviews: December 9th 2024
LEAD FOR REVITALISE REVITALISATION OF PARISH MISSION AND DISCIPLESHIP
The role holder will lead the REVITALISE workstream of our diocesan strategy. It aims to grow our existing churches, connecting ministries together to form a pathway that grows existing disciples and reaches people who are unconnected with church. It also supports them as they journey to become committed disciples who know God and own for themselves Jesus’ mission. We are looking for an ordained or lay person with a vibrant and inspiring faith in Jesus Christ, coupled with a heart to see the Church renewed and revitalised, who can enable church growth through church and whole parish revitalisation.
Closing date: December 1st 2024. Interviews: December 9th 2024.
LEAD FOR RENEW CHURCH PLANTING AND NEW WORSHIPPING COMMUNITIES DEVELOPMENT
The role holder will lead the RENEW workstream of our diocesan strategy. It aims to grow the Church in areas where it currently has little presence, including the planting of brand-new churches, congregations and worshipping communities. We are looking for an ordained or lay person with a vibrant and inspiring faith in Jesus Christ, who longs to enable church growth through church planting and the establishment of new worshipping communities.
Closing date: January 6th 2025. Interviews: January 16th 2025.
It’s an exciting time to join us as we launch a major new phase of missional work for rejuvenation and growth across the diocese, based in our offices at Peninsular House, Portsmouth, and supported by a recent award of strategic funding.
