The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a missional and entrepreneurial Team Vicar to join the Vale and Cotswold Edge Team Ministry. This unique role will suit a priest who has a heart for evangelism and community engagement, who is committed to serving a mixed ecology, who delights in rural ministry and is looking to be part of a mutually supportive team of ordained and lay ministers including a Team Rector, another Team Vicar, a Self-Supporting Associate Priest, Lay Readers and a part time Children, Youth and Schools Leader.
This full-time role combines the care of four parishes (total population circa 4200) within the team – Honeybourne, Willersey with Saintbury, Pebworth and Dorsington – together with one third of the role (funded through the Diocese of Gloucester’s ‘New Ministries Fund’) being focussed on developing new models of mission and ministry particularly around Honeybourne, the largest of the villages.
For an informal discussion about the role contact the Team Rector, Craig Bishop, on 01386 840671 or the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, Phil Andrew, on 07498 052045. Full details and an application form click the 'apply for this job' button below.
