An exciting, four day a week (or equivalent), incumbent status role
leading a healthy, welcoming and growing church in the Leicestershire
village of Great Bowden on the edge of Market Harborough.
St Peter & St Paul is part of the five-church Market Harborough
Resourcing Church Team. A key part of diocesan strategy, this offers a wide range of additional support to help our existing worshipping
communities reach out in new ways to the wider community, in
service, love, prayer and most especially through seeking to plant and cultivate new worshipping communities.
Joining a collaborative & supportive Staff Team working across the Resourcing Church Team and a newly formed leadership team (lay & ordained) specific to St Peter & St Paul, we are praying for God to call someone who, rooted in prayer & their need of God’s Spirit, will be enabling in nature & strategic in practice.
In addition to the usual roles and responsibilities of leading a Parish, and being involved in the many areas of joint working as a Team, there are four specific foci we have discerned as priorities for this coming season for which we seek particular help:
- Encouraging & Enabling Leaders
- Further develop links with the School, Children & Young People
- Confident Evangelism and Witness
- Encouraging & supporting those leading Pastoral Care
We celebrate how God is at work amongst us, through us, and even, at times, despite us, both in Great Bowden and across the wider Team, but recognise our need of leadership to encourage us into the future to which God has called us. Might this be you?
