We publish theological, liturgical and general religious books and the world’s leading Anglican newspaper, the Church Times. Funds from our business are donated via grants each year to dozens of organisations around the UK. These include a wide variety of projects, big and small, from schools and churches, to colleges - all of which meet the criteria we have for a grant. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Subscriptions Manager to join our team based in Norwich.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will have overall responsibility for the Subscriptions department.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the organisation and management of the Subscriptions department

  • Ensure all subscriptions are processed correctly

  • Answer customer queries regarding subscriptions

  • Manage the process for new subscribers

  • Invoice new/renewal subscriptions

  • Manage and review the renewal process for print publications

  • Send out renewal letters for print publications

  • Set up orders from external Marketing Agencies

  • Download web orders, collate orders from post/telephone and process

  • Create all Direct Debit files and ensure BACS compliance

  • Prepare banking files

  • Create Mailing files for mailing house and warehouse

Key Requirements/Experience

  • 3-5 years previous experience in an office environment is desirable.

  • An in-depth knowledge of GDPR regulations is essential.

  • Managing a small team

  • Customer service/support experience

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Organisational and follow up skills, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Good decision making ability

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Numeracy and accuracy skills are essential

This is a permanent role: 35 hours per week, competitive salary with a generous pension scheme.
