The Bishop of Gloucester, the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, seeks to appoint two imaginative, collaborative parish priests, committed to reaching out with the good news of the gospel, to serve in this large and supportive team ministry to the East of Cirencester.
Joining an enthusiastic team of clergy and lay leaders, we are praying for colleagues who will immerse themselves in village life, supporting the worshipping communities in their mission throughout the week and committed to inspiring and equipping the ministry of all God’s people. Building on our existing links with schools we hope you will help us to reach out more effectively to young families in our parishes as well as helping us to care for our more established community.
The TEAM VICAR will have oversight of the parishes of Kempsford with Whelford, Castle Eaton and the Meyseys, as well as joining in the wider ministry of the team. The HOUSE FOR DUTY PRIEST will be based in Coln St Aldwyn and have oversight of the united parish of Coln St Aldwyns, Hatherop and Quenington.
For an informal discussion about either role contact Team Rector, the Revd Canon John Swanton on 01285 851309 or the Archdeacon of Cheltenham,
the Ven Phil Andrew on 07498 052045.
