Full Incumbent Level Stipend
Start Date: September 2018
We are seeking to appoint a priest chaplain to our Church of England secondary school who will exercise an inclusive catholic ministry which is pastoral, offering spiritual leadership amongst students and staff of the school, working in close collaboration with the Principal.
The Chaplain will support and encourage the spiritual lives of those who profess a Christian faith, and offer opportunities for others to encounter and explore Christianity. Respecting those of other faiths and of none, the Chaplain will work closely with others to ensure the effective pastoral care of all staff and students, and will be a professional theologian within the school. The Chaplain will support the school in its outreach in the community, working with vulnerable families, supporting the local cluster of schools, and maintaining links with parishes and other networks. Whilst the chaplain will be a full time member of the leadership team in school, they will also be rooted in the local community as an assistant priest in the parish church, St John the Divine, Kennington.
