The Diocese of Oxford is seeking a SIAMS Adviser, to support the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) and its family of schools across the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

 

We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record as a head teacher or senior leader in a primary school or in recent advisory/consultancy work and can demonstrate experience of SIAMS and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

Working closely as part of a team, the successful candidate will….

  • support the development of Diocesan schools as providers of high quality educational and spiritual experience by managing an effective SIAMS inspection process including:
    o critical reading of inspection reports
    o conducting SIAMS inspections
    o Liaising with other diocesan SIAMS Managers
  • assist church schools and the other members of the advisory team, providing training and materials on the SIAMS process
  • participate in the formulation of diocesan education policy

Salary commencing at £52,979 (pro rata for 22.2 hours per week). An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for this position. It is recognised that this role requires the need to work flexibly, and with that some evening and weekend work will be required.
