The Bishop of Gloucester and Patron seek to appoint a relational,
enabling and nurturing priest to this beautiful Cotswold benefice
(approx. pop. 7,000). There are two parishes with three churches (a House for Duty priest has special responsibility for Amberley – an LEP with the Methodists). There are two church primary schools.
We are looking for a highly collaborative and discerning leader who will love and lead traditional worship well whilst nurturing new ways of being church inspire people to go deeper in their faith be a prayerful, compassionate, and approachable pastor
enjoy being out and about in the wider community and encourage a stronger outward focus help unlock the potential of the flexible reordered church space in Minchinhampton build on links with schools and enable the development of the young people’s ministry
This is a benefice which is excited for the future and whose people offer their support and prayers. In addition to the HfD priest and gifted lay leaders, there is a committed SSM priest, a reader and administrator, plus local active retired clergy.
