We are seeking a new Rector to serve the town of Gillingham and the villages of Milton on Stour and Silton. Gillingham is a growing town with substantial areas of new housing. It has good facilities including a well-used railway station and is the gateway to North Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset countryside.

The vacancy has created an exciting opportunity to look afresh at our vision for the future, to serve existing residents as well as those new to the town and to Make Jesus Known.

We hope for a strategic and collaborative leader who will work with colleagues, lay and ordained both within the benefice and also across parish and deanery boundaries. The benefice is exploring a pathway within our new diocesan vision which will develop the partnerships between school, church and home.

Our church communities are welcoming and missional. We provide administrative support and good facilities including a rectory in the centre of Gillingham.
