Southwark Diocese
The Bishop of Southwark with Hertford College Advowson Trustees wishes to appoint a Rector of St Nicholas, Sutton
We are seeking a Rector who will seize the opportunities that the changes happening in Sutton have to offer, someone who will build relationships with those who live and work here as ‘town centre’ priest. We are best described as ‘middle of the road’ – not High Church nor evangelical. We are part of a longstanding, active LEP with the Methodist/URC and Baptist church
We hope and pray for:
You to like our vision and bring light and hope to our church and to nurture and develop community, civic and ecumenical links
Someone who can reinvigorate and heal our congregation after recent challenging times.
Someone to strike a balance between maintaining and honouring the traditions of St Nicholas Church whilst finding creative ways to enrich our worship and grow our congregation.
We can offer you:
A single parish with a church, modern rectory with large garden and community hall, all on the same site
A Reader associated with the church, a part-time administrator and caretaker, both employees of the PCC.
