The Glaven Valley Benefice North Norfolk
Location:
East Anglia
Recruiter:
Norwich Diocese
We are a rural benefice of five churches set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the north Norfolk coast. Our vision is to be a ministry which shares the living hope of Jesus with everyone in these villages – residents and visitors alike – so that every life may bear fruit for Him. This post is both challenging and exciting. Much has been achieved and the post provides an excellent opportunity for you to take us forward with vision. We are praying for a Rector who:
Led by the Holy Spirit, will help us through prayer, preaching, teaching and example to deepen our faith in Jesus Christ and our relationship with Him.
As a leader, is pastorally sensitive and caring and will bring love, passion, approachability, joy and purpose to the role.
Will help us to develop fresh ways to communicate the gospel in these communities, respecting the wide diversity and range of worship styles already being enjoyed.
Will encourage us to use our gifts and talents through the work of the Holy Spirit at work in us.
Will seize every opportunity for mission and will use Alpha and other outreach opportunities to bring the Good News of Jesus to people in a relevant way.
Will build and further enhance our good links with the local CofE school and families and the strong partnership that exists between our five churches.
We offer you:
Loving, prayerful and practical support from a very willing church membership; the ministry of committed retired clergy and Lay Ministers; the support of many people who lead our courses, small groups and outreach activities; space and opportunity to develop and grow in your personal faith; excellent administrative support; healthy finances and a very attractive, modern Rectory with 4 ensuite bedrooms.
