of the ‘Coln River’ Benefice in the heart of the Cotswolds AONB
Location:
South West
Recruiter:
Gloucester Diocese
The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Rector for this lively and active rural benefice of seven parishes with a strong sense of mutual support and teamwork, a clear commitment to mission and evangelism, and a growing sense of unity across a diversity of worship traditions (stretching from BCP to Café Church and a ‘New Wine’ style service). Located to the East of Cheltenham, the Benefice offers easy access to Cheltenham, Gloucester, Oxford, Cirencester and the M5. With a relatively new ‘community church’ building acting as a hub for the Benefice with shared facilities and administration support, and with an established tradition of shared lay leadership, the new Rector will find plenty of support in sharing in the Benefice mission of ‘knowing and sharing the love of Christ in our communities’. For an informal discussion about the role contact the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 07498 052045 or Tony Barron, a member of the lay leadership team in the Benefice, on 07785 376518. Full details and an application form can be found by clicking the 'apply for this job' button below. Closing date for applications: 24th January 2024 at 10am Interviews: 15th February 2024 Completed applications should be sent to: Debbie Long, PA to The Archdeacon of Cheltenham, at: DLong@glosdioc.org.uk
