Job Description

The ‘Box River Benefice’ is a group of friendly and welcoming village communities located in beautiful countryside in south west Suffolk, midway between Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Colchester.

We are praying for a new rector who:

  • will be a person of vision, committed to the growth of our church congregations and with a strong commitment to pastoral care of our village communities;
  • is a priest who enjoys leading worship in a variety of styles;
  • is a team player with good leadership and delegation skills.

We offer our support and enthusiasm as, jointly, we meet the challenges of rural ministry; congregations willing to be flexible and adaptable as we seek to draw people to Christ; and an excellent four-bedroom detached rectory in the largest village in the benefice.

This is a Lord Chancellor’s appointment
