Job Description

The Benefice of Walbury Beacon, West Berkshire is looking for a 0.5 FTE Rector and a House for Duty Associate Minister.


An exciting opportunity to live and serve in an area of outstanding natural beauty at a time when we are refocusing and re-equipping ourselves for the future.


We are looking to appoint a half time Rector with a ministry focus on the village of Kintbury and a HfD Associate to support and resource three of our smaller parishes.

Walbury Beacon Benefice are looking for a Rector - (half time) and a House for Duty Associate Minister.  The Walbury Beacon Benefice in West Berkshire is situated at the south-west of the Diocese of Oxford, having borders with Hampshire (Diocese of Winchester) and Wiltshire (Diocese of Salisbury). It covers a rural area to the west and south-west of Newbury and is in the Newbury Deanery. Much of the area is in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and includes stretches of the River Kennet and the Kennet and Avon canal.
