Priest

We are a newly forming benefice in beautiful southeast Somerset who are discerning our way forward, together, and looking for a new Priest to come and join us.

We are seeking a priest who will:

• Reach everyone with the Gospel, through loving and serving our communities.
• Be relevant for today’s generation and embrace new ideas.
• Keep the church and its values at the centre of our benefice yet grow our churches together.
• Be energetic and enthusiastic, creative in worship and teach the bible with a loving heart.
• Embrace our new benefice and take it forward, bringing your own ‘gifts’ to join with our loving, caring church communities.

What we offer:

• Committed lay teams, PCCs, Readers, a part-time administrator and many willing disciples.
• A priest colleague (House for Duty) to be appointed with the involvement of the new incumbent.
• Life in a beautiful, rural part of Somerset surrounded by God’s beautiful countryside.
• Four existing parishes, working together to support our new Priest to lead us in Ministry.
• A large home at The Rectory in Wincanton, offering modern living accommodation with extensive gardens, a short walk from Wincanton Church, schools and town centre.
