Recruiter:

Ref: JN011819

The Bishop of Kensington seeks to appoint a Priest in Anglican Orders to the Parish of All Saints, Hanworth as Interim Priest-in-Charge. This will be a three-year appointment with the potential for renewal or reimagination of the post as a permanent position thereafter.

Applications are invited from clergy who:

  • Have an outward facing ministry, coupled with a clear sense of mission to help revitalise the church and develop its social outreach.

  • Are excellent communicators in their preaching and in their conversation, coupled with strengths in listening and discerning.

  • Will be innovative in worship, whilst respecting the broad catholic tradition of All Saints’.

  • Can relate well to young people and to families, and who will encourage and expand the parish’s existing work with children.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in intentional and supported renewal of church life. A key part of the leadership role at All Saints’ will be collaborative working with senior colleagues from the Episcopal Area Staff team, coupled with the maturity, pastoral care and sensitivity to help and support church members through a period of envisioning and renewal.

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage, women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation. The appointment will of course be based on merit alone.
