Priest in Charge of Bardsey with East Keswick

and Lay Training Officer for Leeds Episcopal Area

The Bishop of Leeds wishes to appoint a priest to this post, committed to growing the church through developing lay discipleship in these two villages and across the Leeds Episcopal Area and Diocese.

We are looking for:

  • a missional leader and sociable communicator with a track record of empowering lay formation who will inspire the congregations to grow as disciples, and in their own vocations within and beyond the church;

  • a person of spiritual depth, committed to leadership development and partnership working with lay leaders and community leaders; a gifted practitioner in adult education;

  • someone keen to work as part of a diocesan team of lay training officers providing high quality theological education and training, delivering accredited and non-accredited courses with/through an area wide team of clergy and lay tutors.

We offer:

  • two welcoming congregations increasingly open to change

  • a part-time salaried parish administrator

  • a diocesan team committed to growth and to supporting their dispersed members
