Job Description

This is an unusual and exciting role suitable for someone who relishes a challenge.

We are seeking:

  • A priest who can help us grow in faith and develop spiritual awareness in our wider community
  • A capable leader, able to inspire us in all aspects of ministry
  • A natural pastor, committed to outreach and mission
  • A strategic thinker who can discern God’s vision for Oxfordshire’s fastest growing town and shape the Church’s response
  • Someone with energy, enthusiasm and a sense of humour

We can offer:

  • A band of enthusiastic and devoted volunteers
  • A support team for the Bishop’s Advisor component of the role
  • Good road and rail transport links, excellent employment opportunities and schools, with wonderful countryside on the doorstep

The benefice relates to three very different congregations, practising a wide variety of worship styles between them. One meets in a traditional medieval building and two rent space in modern community buildings. Each of the latter are being led by associate ministers of the established ministry team. The post entails a light-touch oversight of all three and being Priest-in-Charge with primary responsibility for All Saints’ itself.
