Priest in Charge

of the ‘Thameshead Benefice’ in the South Cotswolds

Location:

South West

Recruiter:

Ref: JN012801

The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Priest in Charge for the Benefice of Kemble, Poole Keynes, Somerford Keynes with Shorncote, Coates, Rodmarton and Sapperton with Frampton Mansell.

Close to the historic Roman town of Cirencester, this lively and active rural benefice of six parishes has a strong sense of supportive lay ministry and a clear commitment to mission and evangelism. There is a growing commitment to mutual support across a wide range of worship traditions from informal / evangelical to BCP matins.
The Benefice is looking for a parish priest who can embrace and enjoy this variety, who is committed to the flourishing of all communities and who will invest in and release the ministry of others – both lay and ordained.

The Priest in Charge will live in a new Rectory in Kemble, the largest village in the Benefice with many young families, good facilities, and excellent transport connections, including a direct line to London.

For an informal discussion about the role contact Senior Interim Minster, the Revd Ali Mepham (who has been working with the Benefice through vacancy), on 07563 800117.
