The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Priest in Charge for the Cotswold market town of Winchcombe, eight miles north of Cheltenham.
The Parish has a vision for ‘growing in God, growing the family of God’ and seeks an imaginative and engaging priest who can help them more fully reach out to the whole community and especially young families and schools, with the good news of the gospel.
The post will suit someone who is secure in their own identity and
vocation, able to work across a variety of traditions and perspectives, a competent and experienced servant leader who can harness and
release the energy and commitment of other leaders, both lay and
ordained.
The presentation is currently suspended but in due course, following some pastoral reorganisation, it is anticipated that the role will revert to Team Rector of the Winchcombe Team.
For an informal discussion about the role contact the Archdeacon of Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 07498 052045.
