Ref: JN010112

Job Description

We are praying for an experienced priest to provide primary leadership to our growing ministry team across the Dever Benefice. We are looking for an enabling leader, ready to offer your prayers, leadership and wisdom to the team and the Benefice.

We have seen remarkable growth in our ministry team under the previous HfD Incumbent with a steady growth in those both coming to faith and growing in their discipleship. Each Church is deeply committed to the communities they are set within and with imagination and creativity have responded to both the opportunities and needs of each community.

The Benefice has an administrator and our SSM Curate is to be ordained priest this summer. Each church has a motivated local team – the buildings are well maintained.

The benefice team are equipped to preach, lead services and run imaginative outreach events. There is a spirit of optimism and hope for the future and a particular commitment to see a multi-generational church community in South Wonston.

If you:

  • Love the Lord Jesus and want to make him known
  • Are an inspiring preacher, teacher and leader
  • Are unafraid to take risks, try new things and sometimes fail
  • Are a true team player who is able to share ministry with an ordained and lay team
  • Have a genuine love for rural ministry

Then we would love to hear from you
