Bildeston with Wattisham, Lindsey, Whatfield, Semer, Nedging and Naughton
St Edmundsbury & Ipswich Diocese
These 7 parishes (6 churches) are located in stunningly beautiful agricultural countryside in south Suffolk, midway between Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Colchester, with good road and rail links to the rest of the country.
We are ‘central’ in churchmanship, using both BCP and Common Worship,
and are closely knit as a Benefice with a strong community spirit and wonderful volunteers in each village.
We are looking forward to having a new incumbent for either 2 or 3 days a week plus Sundays to help build up our worship and our outreach within our communities.
We offer PCCs with a good team spirit, lay Elders willing to help with services,
and an excellent four-bedroom detached house in the nearby market town of Hadleigh, on the border with the Benefice.
For an informal conversation please contact The Right Revd Dr Mike Harrison,
the Bishop of Dunwich firstname.lastname@example.org
