We are seeking a Priest in Charge (Rector Designate) to lead our mission, ‘Growing in Christ, working together with the community and sharing God’s love’. We offer a warm, loving, caring, prayerful, and supportive congregation that participates actively in the ministry of the church. We are located on the edge of the North Downs, bordering the London Borough of Croydon and the County of Surrey.

 

We are looking for a confident, spirit-filled, prayerful leader who will work collaboratively with the wardens, PCC, lay and ordained ministry teams and the congregation to develop the vision to enable the further growth of our children and families work.

 

In addition, the new person will care and tend for the existing aging congregation many of whom have faithfully served the church for many years.

 

The person we are looking for should have:

  • strong communication skills, energy and dynamism,

  • a commitment to preach the Word of God in thoughtful and stimulating ways,

  • a pastoral heart, showing empathy and good listening skills,

  • the ability, willingness and experience to help us to further develop our less formal / modern worship services, including a wider range of musical worship and a deeper corporate prayer life - whilst recognising and valuing our heritage.
