Part-Time Incumbent

Parish of Eccleston and Pulford

Part time

North West

Ref: JN010256

Job Description

We are seeking an incumbent for this small semi-rural parish of central tradition near Chester (population 800). There are strong links with the church school. We are looking for a mission-minded new incumbent who will:

  • Provide inspirational and inclusive spiritual leadership;
  • Help the churches reach those in the community who do not yet belong to church;
  • To provide energy, enthusiasm and passion to lead the PCC and congregation in developing the future vision for the parish;
  • Help make the liturgy appeal to a wide range of age groups and grow the congregations;
  • Be involved in the worship and Christian teaching in Eccleston school;
  • Encourage the congregation in living out their faith in everyday life Monday to Saturday and not just on a Sunday;
  • Provide leadership in safeguarding and encourage all to contribute toward creating a safer church;
  • Work with the PCC on finance issues and ways of increasing revenue.
