Oversight Minister

For the Benefices of Saltash and Landrake with St Erney and Botus Fleming and the Parish of Landulph - The Deanery of East Wivelshire

South West

Ref: JN011806

Come be brave, bold and a blessing in this
beautiful part of south-east Cornwall

Do you bring the gifts and skills to help five parishes begin a new journey of mutual support and flourishing? Can you invest wisely in order to help a group of lay and ordained ministers become a team and equip the churches to serve their communities? Can you bring healing and reconciliation where there are hurts and misunderstandings?

We are inviting you to consider this new post created at a time when a cluster of parishes begin a journey together towards fruitfulness and sustainability. It is not for the faint-hearted but it is full of potential and the opportunity to make a difference as you shape a soon-to-be benefice and help to discern all that it can become under God.

You will need to build further a team of lay and ordained ministers to serve the parishes and ensure that the ministry of these churches is truly parochial, reaching out to those for whom the church is currently absent or irrelevant. You will want to work collaboratively with deanery colleagues, be enthused by the vision of The Saints Way and the deanery plan of East Wivelshire, be faithful and prayerful as a priority, and come with creativity, kindness and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Might you be the person to join us at this key time on the life of our deanery and we seek afresh to build the Kingdom of God here?

Please take a look at our website and Statement of Needs to find out more.
