The Diocese of Sheffield is called to grow a sustainable network of Christ-like, lively and diverse Christian communities in every place which are effective in making disciples and in seeking to transform our society and God’s world.
Are you passionate about mission and growth? Are you a team player and leader who wants to make a difference? Can you help us engage with our communities? Do you have a vision for a flourishing church?
Are you looking for a challenge? If so, could this be an exciting new stipendiary role for you?
The Oversight Minister of the Wath 2 Mission Area is an exciting role in a newly established Mission Area of six parishes serving a diverse socio-economic context. Drawing on Lowest Income Communities Funding, we are delighted to make this new appointment as Oversight Minister of Thurnscoe and Bilham, to be based in Thurnscoe, one of the most deprived parishes in the Diocese, with shared oversight responsibility also for Ardsley, Adwick upon Dearne, Barnburgh with Melton on the Hill, and Darfield with Great Houghton.
The Successful candidate will work creatively and collegiately with two ordained colleagues in the oversight of the Mission Area to meet new challenges and nurture the whole people of God to help realise our vision to be a flourishing and generous diocese that is Renewed, Released and Rejuvenated.
