Organist/Director of Music

Yarm Parish Church in the Diocese of York is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring church organist/director of music to lead and develop the musical life of our church which sits within the liberal catholic tradition of the Church of England. The organ has recently undergone a £95k refurbishment. Our previous Director of Music has been appointed to a new teaching post and is leaving the area but not before working tirelessly to build up a SATB choir that now sings regularly at the Sung Eucharist. The choir includes an organ scholar, three choral scholars and a growing number of trebles. We are looking for someone with the energy, commitment and vision to recruit new members, nurture musical talent and uphold high standards of liturgical music.
