St Andrew’s Church, Backwell, North Somerset is seeking to appoint an Organist & Choirmaster

Approx. 30 hours per month; salary c.£6000pa plus fees.

The church has a well-maintained 2-manual Vowles pipe organ and a small mixed-age RSCM-affiliated choir which we are seeking to grow and develop. We are looking for an accomplished organist & choir leader with knowledge and understanding of the Anglican choral tradition to lead the choir & recruit new members (children and adults), including working with our neighbouring school. Approx. 30 hours per month (negotiable); salary c.£6,000pa. Additional fees for weddings and funerals in line with RSCM rates. Appointment subject to enhanced DBS.
