Lead Minister

Our vision is to be a community where lives are changed by the love of Jesus, devoted to spiritual and church growth, fellowship, outreach and to seeing Valley Park encounter the transforming message of the Gospel, and God’s love and Kingdom in all our lives.

We are privileged to be a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP), representing the denominations of the Church of England, the Methodist Church, and the United Reformed Church. We worship as one congregation and many of our members describe themselves as non-denominational. As a Local Ecumenical Partnership between CofE, Methodist & URC churches, this role is open to ordained ministers from CofE, Methodist and URC churches.

Our lead minister will be welcomed by, and represent, all three denominations. Together, we are one Church in Christ. Our unique identity gives us a diverse church family, connecting Christians from different backgrounds.

We embrace different ways of doing things with a variety of worship forms and expression, appreciating the richness of each denomination, blending elements from all to match the character of our congregation

We are looking for a Lead Minister:

• Whose heart compels them to tell others about Jesus

• Who will teach, lead and grow the church to do the same

• Who will raise up and release both lay and ordained leaders

• Who understands the priority of reaching families, children and young people.

• Who is both a team leader and team player.

• Who displays a pastoral heart.
