Interim Minister

(18-24 months), for The Hambleden Valley Group of Parishes

London and Home Counties

Ref: JN008734

Job Description

Our mission Statement is:

‘To see our lives and communities transformed by the love of God’

This is an exciting opportunity for an interim minister to explore the best way of resourcing ministry and mission within the Benefice of the Hambleden Valley. We are open to fresh ways of working across parishes and within the Deanery. Our hope is for someone who is not just friendly and compassionate but also has the ambition and energy to set in motion a period of change leading to sustained growth. This is a unique opportunity for someone to act as a catalyst in creating a new, outward looking way forward for our Benefice.

We pray for a wise and forward looking leader who is:

  • experienced and skilled at team building and leadership;
  • able to diagnose a situation quickly, to develop actions and communicate them clearly;
  • able to challenge certain patterns of thinking when appropriate but remain open to new ideas from wherever they arise;
  • able to care for and nurture our communities;
  • self-aware with a healthy work-life balance.
