The PENHILL BENEFICE is a family of four parishes covering 64 square miles of central Wensleydale. The scenery is stunning, the people are famously friendly and the local food is second to none. We also have the challenges of hidden poverty, unaffordable homes, low wages, and a lack of local public services. We are looking for a priest who has a calling to serve God in this setting, who:
- has a heart for pastoral ministry, who will listen and understand different points of view
- is a team leader and a team builder
- will be a visible presence in our church and community
- will value and develop lay ministry
- will develop innovative ways of reaching our community with the Gospel message.
Our Mission Statement: The Penhill Benefice is committed to show the love of God and the saving grace of Jesus. We share together as the body of Christ, in prayer, worship, ministry and fellowship. In the power of the Holy Spirit we are called to mission and outreach and to be a
support and comfort in the community.
