Job Description

We are:

  • a welcoming, small but supportive all-age church community with considerable potential for development, within the benefice of Timsbury, Priston, Camerton and Dunkerton, seeking to grow in faith and witness in the spirit of the Diocesan strategy of ‘Living the story. Telling the story’


We are offering:

  • the opportunity to be part of a benefice ministry, working alongside the Priest in Charge and three Readers, and with specific responsibility for the parishes of Camerton and Dunkerton
  • a rural location in rolling countryside at the edge of the Mendip Hills, yet only 7 miles from the busy and beautiful city of Bath
  • a four-bedroomed house situated close to the church in Camerton

We are looking for someone who will:

  • be a person of prayer and reflection who loves God and his people
  • be a collaborative team member, willing to serve the parishes in a shared ministry across the benefice
  • be a visible, compassionate and sensitive presence in the community
  • have experience in initiating projects and ventures for church and community
  • possess the ability to relate to and communicate with a wide range of children and adults across the social spectrum
  • be an effective leader, willing to encourage, motivate and supportthe gifts and skills of parishioners in contributing to church life
