St Saviour Chalk Farm

London and Home Counties

Ref: JN013566

St Saviour’s Chalk Farm is in an area where people of different faiths or of none meet, and where affluence and deprivation can be found close together. It is 20 minutes from Central London and has good transport by bus and underground. The green spaces of Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath are within easy reach.

The worship is in the Liberal Catholic Anglican tradition aiming to approach the sacred, with beauty, dignity, thoughtfulness, openness and generosity. The people of St Saviour’s hope that they are welcoming and friendly. Though rather few in number they are dedicated and have sustained more than two years of vacancy. We pay for administrative support from outside the parish for seven hours a week.

We desire to be led in meaningful liturgy and prayer. We wish to be freshly energized to pursue the church’s mission. We would hope to enlarge the congregation. We need to raise funds for repairs. We would also hope to nurture contacts with our surrounding neighbours and to be useful to a wider community. We welcome applications from a sympathetic priest, irrespective of gender, background, ethnicity or sexuality.
