House for Duty Priest

St Andrew’s Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus

Location:

Worldwide

Ref: JN014474

Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East

The Bishop and the PCC of St Andrew’s wish to appoint a priest to serve the English speaking community. The church is well-attended by resident ex-patriates, students, regular and holiday visitors.

This post will appeal to someone looking for an adventurous and fulfilling ministry in a diocese that covers much of the Middle East.

The congregation is hoping for a priest who will lead them in prayer, good teaching, encouragement and planning. The church location in the centre of Kyrenia, beside the historic castle and harbour, means that we can be visible to many, visitors and residents alike.

The House for Duty arrangement will suit a self-supporting or recently retired priest. Furnished accommodation, car, and working expenses will be provided in return for conducting Sunday and Holy Day services and availability for the equivalent of two full days a week for general parochial duties.
