House for Duty Priest

The Archdeaconry of Berkshire The Benefice of Hurst, Sonning Deanery, Berkshire

Location:

London and Home Counties

Recruiter:

Ref: JN012508

We are seeking a House for Duty Priest working two full days per week plus Sundays.

The historic church of St Nicholas is located in the picturesque village of Hurst, Berkshire. The church has strong community ties to the village and school and fully participates with many village activities.

Do you have the enthusiasm and energy to lead when needed and empower individuals and groups to further God’s work?

Would you join us on our journey to become the best Church we can be in this time: a more Christ-like Church for the sake of God’s world?

The church has recently become a standalone Benefice and we are looking for a special individual who will bring their strong Christian faith and values and embrace working with the congregation and local community as we move into the future as a single benefice.

A beautiful four bed house is available in the heart of Hurst and is an easy walk to the church, school, village shop and numerous pubs. London is only a 30-minute train ride away on the Elizabeth Line with the metropolitan town of Reading and market town of Wokingham, a few miles by car.

All appointments are subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
