Worcester College Oxford

Ref: JN006920

Job Description

Graduate Organ Assistant

Stipend £4,000 plus £1,500 in grants and benefits

Worcester College is seeking a graduate organ assistant to become involved in the life and work of the Chapel, from 1 September 2019 until 31 August 2020. The position will provide an opportunity for the postholder to learn and develop within the context of a thriving Oxford Chapel. It involves the unique opportunity to develop skills in teaching and working with boy choristers through the College’s link with Christ Church Cathedral School. This new role is suitable for a musician looking to develop their skills in organ playing, conducting and church music under professional guidance.

The post could be tailored to the needs and interests of the right candidate and might be appropriate to bridge the gap between study and full-time professional work. It would particularly complement freelance or other musical work in Oxford or in the surrounding area, or postgraduate study.
