Full-time Rector

We are a parish in the north west corner of the City of Milton Keynes, which serves the town of Stony Stratford, the rural village of Calverton, Upper, Middle and Lower Weald, suburbs of Galley Hill and Fullers Slade, plus the growing communities of Fairfields and Whitehouse.

We are praying for a priest who has the vision, energy, enthusiasm and ability to inspire, equip and work with us as our community expands.

We are seeking a full-time Parish Priest who:

• understands the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England and can reach out to people beyond this tradition to build connections with other local churches of different denominations in Stony Stratford,
• has a sense of humour and is able to provide kind, effective and collaborative leadership,
• encourages, inspires and involves people of all ages in the services and across the parish, actively reaching out to children and families, to bring the Gospel into everyday life,
• can discern new possibilities in future opportunities while pragmatically recognising and working with realities and uncertainties in a time of change,
• is outward looking, approachable and able to engage with those who have little or no meaningful experience of Jesus or spiritual life,
• is a visible supporter of many local church events who welcomes newcomers at church services and events,
• enjoys joining in with activities in the area and can enhance their spiritual dimensions, building more integration of church and community.
