Hours: 40 hours per week over 6 days
Salary: £43,500

The Chapter (governing body) of Carlisle Cathedral is delighted to invite applications for the post of Director of Music, a distinctive role at the heart of the Cathedral’s worship, mission, and life.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a vibrant Music Department of dedicated staff and volunteers, shaping a musical ministry that inspires, uplifts, and enriches the worshipping community and wider Diocese, in alignment with the Cathedral’s Vision and Strategy 2026.

We are seeking an outstanding musician who is passionate about sacred music, committed to collaborative ministry, and eager to play a central part in the continuing life, witness, and future of Carlisle Cathedral.
