Director of Music

is looking for a Director of Music to play the organ and lead our small choir. We have a Grade II listed building with a Henry Willis organ and well-maintained Yamaha Grand Piano. Our style of worship is ‘middle of the road’ Church of England with weekly Sunday sung Eucharist as well as other said weekday services. We attract a number of weddings and funerals which would be remunerated in addition.

The successful candidate will be in sympathy with the tradition of the parish, able to play our organ to a high standard, train, nurture and develop the choir, lead weekly choir practice and work with the Vicar and PCC to grow music within our worship and community.

Appointment subject to pre-appointment checks, including references and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Remuneration will be in accordance with RSCM guidelines plus fees from occasional offices.
