Diocese of Llandaff is changing….


We’re looking for an experienced, creative and strategic lead for ministry and discipleship across the Diocese.


Covering much of South Wales, including Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys, Llandaff is the most populous of 6 dioceses in the Church in Wales. You’ll join us at an exciting time as the Diocese undergoes a major transformation with a renewed energy to innovate how we minister to hard to reach communities.


You will embrace a spirit of change and work creatively with laity as well as clergy in implementing our strategic goals as our 29 new Ministry Areas become centres for learning, ministry and mission. You will:


  • Develop, integrate and implement policy relating to ministry and discipleship
  • Oversee all lay and ordained ministry training in the diocese
  • Enable the flourishing of Ministry Areas in developing outreach, learning and evangelism
  • Oversee the vocations work in the diocese, both lay and ordained
  • Ensure the wellbeing of all our leaders


This is a demanding role that requires you to:


  • Be passionate and creative about church growth
  • Embrace new forms of ministry, including online ministry
  • Inspire trust and motivate others
  • Constructively challenge the status quo
